Perfect Poetry Contest Results!

Hello Sunbeams!
---

The entries are in- they were fantastic to read!
I had a very difficult time narrowing it down to just one winner..
..but as promised, here are the results:

The winner is SWIRLSHINE,
and here is the winning poem entitled "The Creation Of Jamaa":

"Once, in a far-off land
A heron had a dream
A spirit called to her
And a big, bright land could be seen.

The spirit said to find this place
And make a land of harmony
It graced her with the name 'Mira'
Then off she flew, across the sea.

After many days of travel
She found what she had seen
She created a new village
On the fields of green.

Though tough problems made her weary
And the phantoms tried to strike
Mira never gave it up
Until her land was just right.

She flew around the entire world
Who did she invite? All!
Now we all love our new home.
The great land of Jamaa."

This poem told a nice story of how Jamaa was created, and swirlshine is just great at writing!
Like I said, the poem will be featured at the very bottom of this blog for the rest of 2016.
You will also receive your prizes soon.

But that's not all for this post- I also have some honorable mentions!
I chose 2 other poems which I thought were too great to not talk about.

First is this poem by COWLAN:

On a summer's day,
In 2011 (?)
A blue-heron, named Mira
Founded this Place.
A great Place - Full of laughter and fun -
Then we came and made it run.

Animals -named Jammers- they came and played
They laughed and danced away the days
Then an evil - called Phantoms -
Came and destroyed
The wonderful land, full of Joys.

So Mira, she created, the Alphas so
The Jammers could have fun, and come and go-

The Alphas protect us all day long-
They come and teach us their happy song.

They founded a land called Jamaa
And brought in more people
Who had fun and games
Until they became much less tame.

Hackers and Scammers and bullies and more-
The came and destroyed a land so fair.

The crying and squackling-
The music to their ears.
Menaces all around
Misery sourounds

The Joy sucked out-
No place to hide.
The Jammers - the good - took refuge
Together, we fight
Together, we stand

We also have this poem by COOKYCUPCAKE:

The wolfs soul grows old
forever long it grows, yet never goes old
The night is strong, but dies in the orange dawn.
The gray fur goes more silverey for each ring in the tree grows.
The throne, old and forgotten, still is warmed to date
The last peak of daylight sinks down under the rocks
And master comes.
Silence.
For master Greeley has spoken.
He tells of tale of the One.
For she has now left Jamaa.
He speaks of planned revenge.
For the revolution has just begun.
